Part 9 The Holy Spirit the Third Person of the Trinity
(continued)
Section 11 Spirit of Kindness
204 In God, what is the place of the spirit of kindness? Before beginning a presentation on the spirit of kindness, I would encourage the reader to reread passage # 96 “Kindness Is a Gift From the Holy Spirit.” From scripture, we know that the presence of kindness is in God and is a fruit of the Holy Spirit: “The LORD the LORD is merciful and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in kindness and fidelity”(615) In the gospel of Luke, Jesus says, “For he (God Most High) himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. Be merciful just as your heavenly Father is merciful.”(616) Paul asserts that “The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness”(617) With Paul the authors of In God’s Love state that the spirit of kindness is “a gift from the Holy Spirit. God sends her so beautifully into the souls of the saints. This is a kind, gentle song God sends to men who seek her beauty.”(618) She is a spirit of God’s Holy Spirit: “Seek a spirit whom God’s Spirit inspires with the breath of His Holy Spirit. So sweet and special is kindness.”(619) They assert that kindness can be found in God(620) or vice versa, God’s Spirit can be found in the spirit of kindness.(621)
205 The spirit of kindness, as a part of God, is obedient and inspired by God, and is joined with other spirits of God. The messengers state that “Kindness is a Spirit of God and accepts God’s orders. He speaks once, and she does not talk back. This is called such obedience.”(622) It has been mentioned that scripture notes that “God is love”(623) and that “love is kind.”(624) The messengers also join God’s love and the spirit of kindness. The messengers state that “In all ways, she accepts God’s Spirit. Such is the spirit of kindness. Inspired in such spirit of love, she comes and rests in the saints of Earth.”(625) They also proclaim, “O weary spirits of man, kindness keeps you righteous. In her song, in such sweet rest, this spirit of understanding nature keeps her vigil in God’s love. Such is kindness.”(626) Finally, they note that kindness is accompanied by two other spirits of God: “Seek a spirit (kindness) who comes with peace and gentleness.”(627) Think about it. When we are in the presence of a person or people who are genuinely kind to us, do we not also often experience peace in that situation and gentleness from the person or people involved? “In her white robe, kindness is the saint of saints. She is in such understanding and mercy. In patience is her blessing.”(628) Don’t we also often experience understanding, mercy, and patience where we experience genuine kindness?
206 What are some of the qualities of the spirit of kindness? The messengers say that the spirit of kindness’ inspiration is brilliant(629) and restful. (630) They say that her spirit is good(631) and blessed.(632) She is beautiful(633) and wise.(634) It is in kindness that truth(635) and justice(636) meet. In the spirit of kindness there is comfort and peace.(637) She is soft and quiet.(638) Indeed seeing all the qualities of kindness it is not any wonder they call her the saint of saints.(639)
207 What are some of the actions of the spirit of kindness? First, according to the messengers, kindness pleads for saints of Earth: “Kindness sings to God. She sings in such sweetness. In her song is a touch of sadness. In her song is a plea for all the saints of Earth who sing in inspirational beauty.”(640) Second, “Where kindness dwells, all selfishness is cast out.”(641) Third, not only does she cast out, but she also, “comes to teach God’s children how to comfort such suffering and pain in Earth’s toil. In this, take comfort: God is kind. This is written: “God’s saints are kind.”(642) “Kindness comes to God’s saints. This way is a blessed way. In God’s Spirit, take this. Keep it. Never let it go. Such pardon shall be made in those who are kind. Such love is in kind spirits.”(643) But the spirit of kindness does not come to everyone. “Spirit of kindness withdraws from those who are spirits of Satan. She does not rest in such spirits.(644)” Have we not seen evidence that when people vehemently speak out against God and holy living, they often do so in an unkind manner and have a spirit of rudeness about them?
208 What are some of the effects of the spirit of kindness? She is comforting and refreshing: “Come, refresh at her blessed door. She rests your spirit and refreshes your soul in such peace. Never has kindness displeased her spirits. Kindness pleases in all ways.”(645) “Such comforts she gives such healing of bodies and spirits.”(646)
Section 12 Spirit of Virtue
209 In God, what is the place of the spirit of virtue? The messengers say that “She is in God, and she is real.”(647) Virtue “only speaks in God’s love, in the very spirit of God’s Spirit.”(648) “Virtue is God’s spiritual inspiration.”(649)
210 What are some of the qualities of the spirit of virtue? The messengers, being true to their definition of sainthood,(650) declare that she is a saint.(651) She is blessed and sacred.(652) She is kind(653) gentle,(654) and pleasant.(655) In her rests true beauty(656). As they creatively state, “Virtue is God’s springtime when all things come to life and renew the Earth.”(657) They also describe her purity and gentleness: “Virtue is a soft glow of white. She is soft and rich in her wealth.”(658) “Feel the coolness of her presence. Touch her cleanliness.”(659) True to her name, the messengers exclaim that “She is righteous.”(660)
211 What are some of the actions of the spirit of virtue? According to the messengers she calls her saints.(661) They state that “Virtue blesses all that is made.”(662) She especially blesses “Earth children who desire so much the Father’s goodness and love. Amen.”(663) We should desire her, and ask for her. If we do she will come: “O brave Earth saints, seek virtue, and she is yours. Kneel down, people of Earth, ask God on your knees for her. She is a precious jewel given freely to all who ask earnestly and work for her in such love for God.”(664) Virtue also inscribes her saints.(665) When virtue comes to us, she is unique: “Virtue does not limit her spirit. Within each breast, she sings a different song. So lovely is her music.”(666) She rests the soul in peace.(667) However, there is one group of people that virtue avoids, people who practice the actions of homosexuality. The messengers state that “Virtue vomits you (people who perform homosexual acts) out. Her spirit is a very clean spirit who takes no part in such spirits.”(668)
212 What are some of the effects of the spirit of virtue? The messengers place virtue as a key element of our spiritual growth. As they put it, “In such sweet music was the Earth created. In this harmony are the saints of God. This sweet music is a very slow unfolding of all things into something very beautiful. In such beauty as man has never seen, He develops as an Earth child from a seed in the womb of its mother, becomes so beautiful and never stops in this beauty. Virtue raises the spirit into full bloom. Raises the spirit in such music in God’s Creation”(669) Virtue is very natural to the true nature of the human being: “You righteous ease into God’s way naturally. Such is God’s way. Virtue is a natural, interesting way. Ease of mind, under no pressure, rest comes in this way.”(670) Virtue makes our spirits kind(671) and “makes clean spirits that are blessed and wise.”(672)
213 Virtue is our key to God: “All who are in God’s Spirit need only ask for His blessing. Virtue in the heart takes your needs to God. This is the key to God’s bounty. Seek her out.” (673) “No man who sings in her spirit shall sing in bitterness or regret.”(674) Isn’t it true that often the times when we really have regret and bitterness are over the times in our life when we have not been virtuous? The final effect of virtue is to gain us entrance into heaven: “In this, it is written: ‘In white garments, enter at the gate. In this wedding feast, if anyone is not clothed in virtue, soiled is his robe on Earth. His soul is not in God’s Spirit, and his spirit is cast out, never again to take this journey.’”(675)
