Chapter 4  We Believe God Created Us
                      and Gave Us Freewill 1/2

Part 1 People's Nature

Section 1 Our Relationship with God

292          God created us and gave us freewill.  In Chapter 2, when describing God as creator, we discussed the creation of mankind.(1)   Hence there will be some overlap with this Chapter.  What is our relationship with God?  The authors of In God’s Love write that we are God’s people, or God’s children.  “Someone loves you, small Earth people.  You are His creation, so loved and wanted.”(2)  and “You are His beloved children.”(3)   In introducing us to the citizens of the universe they exclaim, “Come, all you creatures of God in God’s Creation. It is inscribed: ‘This is God’s very dear children who come in such love.’”(4)   They also write that “We are here, small people, to tell you that God is a kind and loving Father who cares for all people.”(5)

293           As alluded to earlier,(6)  we are special and worthwhile, for we have a purpose.  They write that we are the “most beloved creation of God’s spiritual choosing.”(7)   “He (God) wants you to know that you are worthwhile, and He loves you very much.  God is your God, and you are His people.”(8)   They proclaim that each and every one of us is special and has a purpose: “You are special.  You have been chosen by God to fit into a special plan.  This is mankind’s desire.  This is His plan.  It is so beautiful.  He calls you, “friend.”  You are spirit of God’s Spirit, created for a purpose.”(9)

294           As alluded to earlier,(10)  we have been given the gift of eternal life: “Small children of Earth, reach out, for someone does love you and wants you.  He welcomes His Children with great joy.  What a wonderful Father you have.  He chose you to be His adopted child.  What a marvelous gift.  Blessings of life are sent to you from God.  He did not have to choose you to receive this gift.  He could have chosen another being of His choosing, but He didn’t.  He chose you to share in His delights.  You are so precious.  You are so wanted.  Why were you chosen?  Why did God choose you?  He chose you because He wanted you.  He wanted you to live forever and share in His gifts and mysteries of eternal life.  What a special being you are, Earth being.  What a wonderful gift you have been given.”(11)

295           As alluded to earlier,(12)  each of us were planned by God.  The messengers state that “It was a planned decision of make-up that made you who you are.  Then, He called you by name”(13)

296           As alluded to earlier,(14)  we are created for God and it is God who fulfills our being.  The messengers simply state, “For God is man created.”(15)   We yearn for God.  The messengers affirm the longing of the human spirit cries out, “Bless us and help us.  Our spirit thirsts for Your love.  We are so in need of Your spiritual joy.”(16)   In Augustine like fashion they state that we should want to say, “Come, O wondrous Spirit, with beauty unsurpassed, fill this lonely heart of mine with the blessings of your love.”(17)   Only the wise realize this thirst, for they write, “The wise shall seek God, and He shall be their God, and they shall be His people.”(18)

Section 2 We Have God’s Spirit Within Us.

297           As mentioned earlier, we have been created in God’s image. God is conscience therefore, God gave us a consciousness.(19)   In His image, God created us as corporeal and spiritual,(20)  male and female.(21)   Furthermore, God, the author of all life, makes us vessels of life.  The messengers describe us as sweet vessels of life.(22)   They proclaim God’s closeness to us who are “spiritual vessels”: “God is with His little ones who labor in His love.  In such children are found the Kingdom of God.  Spiritual vessels, sweet, sacred spirits, in songs of virtue, in blessed spirits, in songs sung in Earth’s toil.”(23)  “Kept are you, O spirit, in the Father’s keeping.  In the Father’s sacred, blessed rest are you kept.  Vessel kept in ivory.  Vessel filled with golden beams of light.  Kept are you, very small spirit.”(24)

298           We know that God is all life, so if we have life within us, then we have God within us.  The messengers make it clear that we are vessels who have the spirit of God dwelling within us: “This is your life, Earth soul.  It is yours and no other’s.  This is your beloved God.  His love is for you.  Do you understand?  What He has given you is yourself.  Take care of the gift.  Carry it.  Preserve it.  It is precious.  You and you and you are each a vessel of God’s Spirit.  What a wonderful gift of life you have been given.  More cannot be given.  Make the most of this gift.  This is your chance for eternal happiness.”(25)

Section 3 The Nature of Mankind

299           With the spirit of God within us, it is our true nature to desire to be kind, like God’s spirit is kind.  Our life, our song,(26)  is to be one of kindness.  The messengers write, “Beloved saints on Earth, wisdom’s children, kind ones of God’s Spirit, beloved vessels, such signs of Earth in life’s sweet song.”(27)   They encourage us to be like God who is kind: “You are very kind and gentle.  Is that what God is like?  Yes, you are trying to achieve God’s nature.”(28)   In writing about those people who remain faithful to God and follow His will, they describe our beauty: “The Earth people are so beautiful.  Their song is so lovely, it makes us cry.”(29)   Like God we have life within us, and if we are true to the spirit of God within us, we are kind and have a beautiful song, like God.

300           It is our true nature to be kind.  It is our true nature to desire God and the things of God.(30)     The messengers write that “It is not the nature of mankind to live in ignorance, filth and poverty.  The people of Earth have too much of God’s nature to be so miserable.”(31)   “Man seeks not to eat ashes.  It is not in him to crave darkness and dust.”(32)   While the wise person may know what their true nature desires, all of us are capable of being wise or foolish, good or evil.  As the messengers put it, the “Earth is still mixed with the wicked nature.  Wisdom tells us we are both mankind and beast.  We are mixed with good and evil.”(33)

Section 4 Each Person is Unique

301           As Catholics, we believe that God made each of us unique and special.  The messengers believe that as well: “God wants your splendor, your individuality, your only special self.”(34)   They proclaim that while the same virtue and wisdom of God is in each saint, we are all different: “In blessings of Earth, in virtuous music, is wisdom’s song sung; in each one, she sings differently.  So different, yet so much alike are these brave saints.”(35)   Sometimes here on Earth, we appreciate our differences; and sometimes we think everyone should see and think the way we do, but the messengers exclaim, “All men see differently.  See as you wish, and love in a special spirit.  You who see beauty, see beauty, and you who see great meaning, see great meaning.  Kind spirits, all of you bless God, and He shall sustain you.”(36)   Even in spiritual sight, we have varying angles of vision and even different views.  They state that “All who are in God’s Spirit see with one spirit.  See as we are created to see.  Speak of the beauty in your spirit, but do not expect interest in your sweet joy of life.  Some come seeing.  Others cannot see.  Some see less.  Others see more.  Some see things you cannot see, and you see as others do not see.  This is the nature of man.”(37)   Even in heaven, while our spiritual sight can be assumed to be clearer, each of us will still have our own personalities.  We do not get blended into a great white oneness.  The messengers share that “These people who are in Heaven are real people with likes and dislikes and personalities.”(38)   We need to remember God wants our individuality, our uniqueness, for He created us that way.
