and Gave Us Freewill  (continued) 2/2

Part 2 People's Freewill

Section 1 Freewill

302      The messengers assert that every one of us “has a free will.  Everyone can turn his life over to God.”(39)   Indeed they hold that “In all men is the same chance…. God comes to all.”(40)   We also hear the very Biblical phrase, “Many are called, but few are chosen.  You are chosen out of many.  He chose you to be His special one.”(41)   They express deep regret that “While some accept God’s blessed Spirit, others have not,”(42)

303           They make it very clear that we have a choice to make.  To accept God’s love or to not love God is our choice: “It is worth all the pain and sorrow you endured on the Earth.  You will be like a woman who has gone through the pain of bringing forth a child.  You will hold your baby and not remember the suffering of childbirth….You who accept and love God, more cannot be had.  Woe to you who do not love God.  You are like a woman who has endured the pains of childbirth, and your baby is lying dead in your arms.  You have suffered the pain and have found only sadness and death as your reward.”(43)   They cannot understand why some would be so foolish as to choose hell over heaven: “Dear ones who arrive in God’s Kingdom are so well cared for.  This is a place where you will be happy.  There is neither pain nor sorrow here.  All the desires of a being’s heart are in Heaven.  Here is the place of ecstasy.  Your well-being is cared for so well.  Why do you insist on going to a place where you will suffer the most excruciating pain, more pain then you have ever known?”(44)   They are saddened that some people wait too long, or will be surprised with the reality of God and of the choices they have made in their life.  They bemoan, “Some are ready, while others are not.  Those who are ready shall rejoice in His Spirit.  Those who are not ready will proclaim, “He is real!”  God is real, and those who do not really believe in Him are really not being accepted in His Kingdom….This is reality.  God takes His own into His Kingdom.  Those who do not believe in Him are given another place to stay.  This is also a real place where people are asleep and cannot wake from a horrible nightmare of pain and struggle.  Would you desire this place where you will not be loved and you will be in great fear for all eternity?”(45)

304           They encourage us to make our choice and be wise when we do so: “Select.  Make your choice.  Will you choose an eternity of happiness, or will you choose an eternity of pain. Select.  Make your decision.  Spirit of truth and love or spirit of deception and hate?  Somewhere, someone loves you, and His love will set you free.  Somewhere, someone hates you, and his hate and bitterness will enslave you and never relieve you from agony and pain.  This is the time to think.  It is a time of selecting who is smart and who is foolish.”(46)  They make it very clear that God does not send people away, rather people choose to turn away while they are living: “God does not send spirits away.  Such as you choose is your reward.”(47)

Section 2 The Wise Choose God

305           The messengers write many times about how wise it is to choose God.  Here are just a few of their writings: “Wise spirits who choose this God and His clean ways shall rejoice in such wise choosing.”(48)   “Those of you who are praising God in time are praising Him for eternity”(49)   “Come, all pleasure, all joy and the things desired by man are here….Turn in at God’s Heart.  It is a wise way and a healing way.  In this, there is no wrong.  In this is such music, such sacred music.”(50)  “Who among you seek the pleasures of God, and who among you seek the suffering of Satan?  Who is wise, and who is foolish?  Who among you spend a small time in Earth’s toil serving God?”(51)   One final quote that expresses the reality of choosing God is “Blessed ones, you have taken the wise way.  You have chosen well.  So pleased are the ones who have made the right choices on Earth.  It is done.  God is real, and His Kingdom is real.  It shall come, and all people will know that God is the Creator of all things.  Take His Spirit and become wise.”(52)

Section 3 The Foolish Reject God

306           The messengers write in continued incomprehension of why some do not choose God: “All you who are not of God, evil is in your spirit.  See evil destroyed.  In your spirit, you have chosen, and such a very foolish choice have you made.”(53)   They warn us of the dangers: “Those who turn away from God and desire this creature to rule their lives are playing around with real horror.”(54)   They point out that people have not only accepted Satan themselves, but have also led their own children astray.  “They have accepted Satan.  Real is he, and false his ways.  Such sadness and pain has he to offer.  Such foolish people who accept him for themselves and their children.”(55)   In grief and anguish they plead, “God is calling the children of Earth.  While God is near, some do not answer.  It makes us grieve.  Can man be so foolish?”(56)

                      Section 4 Choose Now

307           The messengers encourage us to “think about where you want to spend eternity.”(57)   They see our time on Earth as a time of testing.  They remind us “what a wonderful gift of life you have been given.  More cannot be given.  Make the most of this gift.  This is your chance for eternal happiness.”(58)   They caution us that now is the time to choose God, to not put it off or it could be too late: “This is the time to think.  It is a time of selecting who is smart and who is foolish.  Right now is the time.  Putting off your decision might be too late.  Beauty is all around you.  Do you like what is pleasing to you?”(59)   Just in case we missed the point of how urgent our decision is they warn, “Is this the day you will start becoming so wise?  Even this day is too late.  This very second is the time to sing out to God. Seconds count. Minutes might be too late.  Sing out to your God with all of your heart and soul.  It is time.  The time is right now.”(60)

308           According to the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus warns us to be like the five wise virgins who were ready with full lamps for the bridegroom, and not to be like the five foolish virgins who were not ready.  Jesus says, “Stay awake you neither know the day or the hour.”(61)    In a similar fashion, the messengers instruct us to “Be careful, lest you are called and you are not ready.  Many have waited until God called.  Yes, some came in.  Yes, many come in.  And many were too late.  Do not wait.  In this, take wisdom: love grows and flourishes in time on the Earth.  Make wise decisions. Take time and use it.”(62)   When all is said and done with our life and our song is sung, what will it sound like?  Will it be a pleasing song to the Lord?  They ask us to reflect upon our completed Earthly life: “Your song is sung.  Was it a blessed song?”(63)

Section 5 If You are Returning to God, God is Very Close

309           I touched upon the forgiving God earlier in Chapter 2,(64)  However, the rushing tide of God’s forgiveness is so immense that it should be included in our discussion of freewill.  For as I write the equation of life on Earth it is not just: “choose God  - not choose God = life on Earth, but rather it is choose God - not choose God x tremendous amount of grace and love of God – evil = life on Earth.  Our freewill decision to drink of the Spirit of God or not is made while we are surrounded by the living waters of God.

310           The messengers tell us that God is so close to those who are on the verge of coming back to Him: “Now is the time on Earth.  Now is the time to turn your heart to God’s Spirit.  This is the day to speak to your Father.  His ear is listening for your voice.  Each one who reaches out to God is coming to His Spirit.  Those who want to come back to God are so near.”(65)    They also plead, “Turn your face back, sons of man.  Turn your faces, very spirits, back to our Father’s holy love.  This will save your Earth.  This will save your soul.”(66)   Much like many of the prophets of the Old Testament,  we hear the messengers proclaim the message that the Father is trying to reach His children to lead them home: “Why were their ears closed to my words?  This is seen, beloved.  It is the time.  This is My voice reaching out to you.  Are you listening to Me?  Stout-hearted children, do not close your ears and your hearts to Me.  Do not seek maggots when you can have good things to eat.  Come back to Me, spirit of lost souls, and I will lead you home.”(67)

311           God is willing to forgive.  They reassure us that God forgives “the most wicked sinner whom no man, in his pain, could forgive.  This sinner cried out to God with a contrite and loving heart.  In this cry, compassion and mercy bore his spirit up to God forever.”(68)   According to the Gospel of Luke, Jesus says, “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.”(69)   The messengers echo Jesus’ message with, “for every child who is saved, there is a great celebration in Heaven.  For every sinner who comes back to God, the joy begins.”(70)

            Part 3 Summary

312           Some of the ideas presented in this Chapter have been touched upon before:  We have each been planned and created by God in His image and given the gift of eternal life.  God made us spiritual and corporeal, male and female, and the longing of our being is only fulfilled by God who is always ready to forgive us.  God loves us and wants us for we are His people, His children, and His friends who have been created with a purpose as part of a plan.  We are special and God chose us because He wanted us to share eternal life with Him.  God created us and gave us a consciousness.  We are vessels of life, vessels that carry God’s Spirit within.  We have God’s kind nature within us so our nature is to be kind, yet now we are a mixture of good and evil.  Because we are like God, we do not seek ignorance poverty, and filth.  Each of us is unique, each sees differently and this will continue in heaven.

313           We all have been given freewill and we all have a chance to turn to God.  It is a choice between love and hate, heaven and hell, God and Satan.  Wise people choose God and foolish people reject God.  God does not send people to hell.  We send ourselves there with our choices.  Our Earthly life is a time of testing.  We need to choose now, for none of us know the hour of our death.  If we are returning to the Lord, God is very close to us and there is great rejoicing in heaven when we repent.  Not only are all the above statements what we Catholics believe, but they are all expressed as we express them.
